Hot Tomato Creations' professional staff is poised to offer a distinguished level of service and provides catering service as well as every aspect of event planning for the convenience of its customers. Corporate meetings, social gatherings, and formal dinners are just a few of the events that have been handled with great success by Hot Tomato Creations and the RBC Center's staff. A variety of menu items are offered to customize each meal according to customer tastes, and the option to have the talented culinary staff create an all-inclusive meal is always available as well.
Hot Tomato Creations is the exclusive foodservice operator of the RBC Center. Hot Tomato Creations is a trade name of VAB Catering Inc. Hot Tomato Creations offers complete catering service which includes access to an extensive inventory of tents, tables, chairs, linens, china, silver, glassware, and other decorative items. Outside vendor services such as florists, audio/visual equipment, musicians, and other entertainers can also be provided to ensure all event details fall under one umbrella of efficiency. CATERING POLICIES Menu Selections: The catering menu is presented merely as a sampling of what our Chef offers. Customized menus to suit personal tastes or requirements are also available. Guarantee: The minimum number of guests provided the catering office is considered the guarantee by which an event is charged. The catering office should be notified as to the exact number of guests by 12:00 noon, 5 days prior to your event. If no guarantee is received by that time, the minimum guarantee given at the time the particular event was booked will be considered as the guarantee. Hot Tomato Creations prepares for 3% over the final guarantee. Minimum Requirements: The minimum requirements for meals/breaks is listed on the menus. If an event does not meet the minimum, the difference can be offset with a per-person surcharge. Billing: A deposit is required at the signing of the contract and is based on the expected attendance. Refunds requested in writing will be considered up to 90 days prior to the event. Service Charge: All food and beverage is subject to an 18% taxable service charge and 8% tax. Linen: The RBC Center will provide colored linens from our current inventory. Any special requirements for linen not within our inventory will be at the client’s expense. Time Frame: If an event's duration exceeds the contracted time frame, additional charges will apply. Hot Tomato Creations and the RBC Center reserve the right not to extend alcohol service beyond the scheduled time frame.
